The Den Manager is responsible for coordinating children’s age appropriate activities incorporating both educational and fun aspects, as well as the unique environment. The Den Manager ensures the Kids and their parents experience fun activities in safe and secure manner.
Tasks
- Create, develop, implement and maintain a creative and fun activities program for children that is educational, interesting and fun.
- Maintain a current filing and information system relating to all programs.
- Maintain full and accurate records, licenses, Hosts training and records.
- Develop and implement, in conjunction with the resort’s management, policies and procedures for the Kid’s Club.
- Continually review Health and Safety of activity areas together with Chief Engineer and Human Resources
- Continually review performance of The Den Hosts to ensure a high standard of service to our guests.
- Ensure that all equipment and materials used are checked and maintained.
- Conduct inspections of the public areas/facilities used for activities ensuring the highest standard of hygiene and safety. Initiate appropriate action where required.
- Handle guest complaints, inquiries and comments. Log them and initiate appropriate action together with follow up.
- Upsell the resort and its other facilities/activities.
- Carry out administrative requirements as directed by the Life Manager and or General Manager
- Closely monitor entry and exit of Hosts or/and contractors to ensure the Den is secured and not subject to theft or pilfering and that unauthorized visitors are prevented from entering the Den. This is to ensure maximum safety to the Kids and their parents.
- Continually evaluate and provide recommendations to the improvement of the Den, ensure all storage areas are safe and that all stocks are properly monitored with the help and approval of Finance.
- Report any health or safety hazard to the Chief engineer.
- Liaise with HR to ensure pre-employment screening for any Host’s recruited.
- Contribute to the morale and team spirit of the Den and the Life Department by maintaining effective relationships with colleagues and guests alike.
- Gather information and provide recommendations in regard to Kids equipment/new developments.
- Attend all Hosts and training meetings as directed by Management.
- Ensure that all duties carried out are in line with the Resort Policy, with high standards of personal appearance, personal hygiene and correct uniforms.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as directed by the General Manager
Essential Requirements
- Diploma or Degree related to Teaching or Childcare
- 3-years’ post-qualified experience working with children aged 6-months to 13-years in a nursery/play environment
- Experience in Health and Safety
- Fluency in a second language (French, German or Russian) is desirable but not essential
